I believe that we are all made for a purpose to uniquely contribute to the world around us, and although at times the journey to discovering that purpose can be hard fought, it is one worth travelling. I am grateful to have found fulfillment in creating love and beauty through painting for the purpose of nurturing hearts, minds and souls.
With background experience in Interior Design, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Arts from DePaul University concentrating on Interior Design, I held a strong understanding of both design concepts and the creative process when I felt a divine call on my heart to paint angels in 2015. Expanding on that design knowledge, I committed to several years of study in drawing, painting and expanding the creative process through classes, private tutoring, travel and studio time. In 2017, after losing both of my parents and my brother to pancreatic cancer within a short period, the time was right for me to express my heart on canvas. I completed my first angel painting in 2017.
Psalm 91 has held me steadfast through the hills and valleys of my life. Calligraphed on a wall in my home, it is a daily reminder of divine protection. In it, God speaks of his ability to call on His Angels to protect us. Although I have not yet visibly seen an angel with my human eyes, I do deeply sense their presence and beauty in my heart. My paintings are an artistic and prayerful expression of the spiritual experiences of my heart.
I invite you to be open to the serenity, joy, beauty, comfort, unity of purpose and strength they express as you embrace the brush strokes, colors, but most importantly their meaning.
I currently reside in Illinois, with my husband and best friend, Scott, and dog, Miss Mayah. I am a mother to three amazing children, Reese and Sarah, and Drake.
